Regular coach services connect Almuñécar to provincial, regional and national destinations, while an urban service covers the town and principal seafront areas, connecting with La Herradura. There are numerous car hire companies, as expected in a tourist area. Prices are good but it's still worth looking around to see what's on offer.

| The area has a good taxi service, accustomed to working strange hours particularly for pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport. Taxi ranks are manned throughout the day until around 21.00 hr, and up until midnight or later in summer.
